Emyr Evans Brings Home the Swiss Open Title

Some great news to share from Switzerland: Emyr Evans has won the 2026 Swiss Open Lukas Gadola Memorial.

Emyr finished his week in Uster with a 3–0 win over Pakistan’s Hamza Khan in the final on Sunday 1 November, taking it 11–4, 11–5, 14–12. He’d already beaten Dylan Roberts and Elijah Thomas without dropping a game, but there was a bit more work to do in the semi-final.

Ireland’s Sam Buckley took the opening game before Emyr turned it around, winning the next three to earn his place in the final after 67 minutes. That was the only game he dropped across the whole tournament.

Sunday’s final still brought a close finish. After taking the first two games, Emyr won the third 14–12 to get over the line in straight games. Four matches, four wins, and a trophy at the end of it.

We’re really pleased for Emyr. It’s always good to see one of the #KarakalKrew lifting a trophy, and this was a great way to finish his week in Switzerland.

Huge congratulations from everyone at Karakal, Emyr!
