Stuart Hardy: A Dominant Force in Over-70s English Masters Squash

The Over-70s English Masters Squash scene has witnessed an
extraordinary run this season, with Karakal's Stuart Hardy delivering a series of dominant performances that have solidified his legacy in the sport.

Stuart's incredible journey began in June when he triumphed at the British Open Masters, held alongside the PSA British Open elite event in Birmingham. From there, he went on to claim victory in the Karakal North of England, Karakal West of England, and Karakal East of England Masters Opens. Most recently, he capped off his season in style by securing the British National Championships at his home club, Colets in Surrey.

What makes this achievement even more astounding is that Stuart won all of his best-of-five matches throughout these tournaments without dropping a single game. Given the level of competition, this may well be a unique feat in Masters Squash, underscoring his exceptional skill, determination, and consistency.

Reflecting on his season, Stuart expressed his gratitude:

"I have had a fantastic run and still can't quite believe it! There were some close calls, but to win all my matches without dropping a game is something truly special."

His success is a testament not only to his dedication and training but also to the invaluable support he has received from friends, family and sponsors over the years. With over two decades of association with British Racket Brand, Karakal, Stuart took a moment to acknowledge their role in his journey:

"I am very grateful for all Karakal does for me and for the sport at large. You are tremendous!"

Stuart Hardy’s phenomenal season serves as an inspiration to players across all age levels, proving that excellence and passion for the game can continue well beyond the conventional peak years. His performances this year will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the great stories in English Masters Squash.
