Sharon Jones Barnes is an England and international ParaBadminton Player in the Wheelchair 2 (WH2) category.

Sharon is a tripple UK ParaBadminton Champion having capture titles in Women's Singles, Women's Doubles and Mixed Doubles events.

Sharon also has a long line of other accomplishments to her name, with Bronze in the Fazza Dubai Para-Badminton International in April 2018 and two more Bronze medals at the Victor Denmark Para-Badminton International in singles and Ladies doubles, playing with Canada’s Yuka Chokyu, in November of the same year. On top of this, she's won many Gold and Silver medals in the Dover Para-Badminton championships. Sharon has also had the honor of representing England against the other home nations in the 4 Nations Championships where she has won Gold and Silver in both singles and ladies doubles.

As a qualified Level 2 Coach, Sharon works with the GLL, local councils and with Black Arrows Badminton Club, helping to pass on her skills and experience to the next generation of both Badminton players with disabilities and those with non-disabilities. Currently, Sharon is again representing England in qualifications for the World Championships in Basel, Switzerland and for the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo.
